No – the microtome base plates of both series have different dimensions and are not compatible with each other. How does the new antistatic waste tray reduce contamination? The antistatic waste tray is made from resistant antistatic material to avoid debris sticking to the walls of the tray. Is the new 2-in-1 blade holder compatible as a whole assembly with the older RM22xx series? Yes – only in the combination blade holder and 2-in-1 blade holder. Can we still use the backlighting with the new blade holder base for the 2-in-1 blade holder? No – the 2-in-1 blade holder base does not have the cut-out for the backlighting. Which accessories of the older RM22xx Series cannot be used with the HistoCore RMs anymore? Small section waste tray Large section waste tray Top tray – HistoCore RM top tray is 40% larger than the RM22xx series tray Cooling Device – too small to be placed on instrument top. However, it’s still good to place next to the instrument What is the advantage of the personalized coarse feed wheel? Convenience and ease-of-user – users can select their personal preference of coarse feed wheel turn direction. This feature is preserved from the RM22xx series, allowing users to trim at the high pace. What is the advantage of “Fast homing”? The return speed of the object head from front to home position has been reduced from 26 seconds (older series) to 13 seconds (new series). This accelerated speed helps to shorten the sectioning process each time the object head is returned to home position. What is the advantage of the Memory Position? When batch trimming and using the same height of blocks, Memory Position will help to accelerate the sectioning. First insert a new block Bring the block to the blade Set the Memo position (stored) Trim Remove block for re-cooling Press “Memo” – the object head returns to the set object change position Insert a new block – check position Trim again Configurations Basic Instrument (14052458261) Rotary microtome with Automated and Manual Modes Automatic Electronic Brake Special Spindle and expanded slow speed adjustment capabilities allows accurate specimen feeding for semi-thin sections of 250 nm Precise 3D object head stop position allows for taking pictures of the cut specimen surface after each section to enable 3D reconstruction Includes standard waste tray and top tray HistoCore NANOCUT R Parts/Accessories View all HistoCore NANOCUT R Parts/Accessories HistoCore NANOCUT R Publications View all HistoCore NANOCUT R Publications Education Training Resources (Knowledge Pathway)Introduction to Microtomy: Preparing & Sectioning Paraffin Embedded Tissue How to Guides4 Tips for Buying a Microtome
